I don't think that my display is working, please help. There is no time displayed for any rice cooking function except the last 4 minutes, when the time is displayed. Surely the time should be displayed at all stages of cooking?

The display not showing the time during most stages of cooking is not a malfunction. The time is only displayed during the last 4 minutes of the cooking process.

Instruction to cook brown rice on the Panasonic rice cooker 10 cup. After 30 minutes the water has only reached warm, placed 1 cup of rice in bowl, placed water to the level on brown rice, turned on a selected brown rice and pressed start button. What am I doing wrong. On three occasions I have re selected Jasmine rice and the rice cooks.

When using the Panasonic SR-CN188 rice cooker to cook brown rice, please follow these steps: 1. Measure out the necessary amount of brown rice. A rice measuring cup is approximately 150 g. 2. Wash the rice in a separate container to ensure it is clean. Avoid washing the rice directly in the Inner Pan to avoid scratching. 3. Place the cleaned rice in the Inner Pan and add water up to the designated water level for brown rice. Adjust the amount of water according to personal preference. 4. Wipe the outside of the Inner Pan with a dry cloth and place it into the Rice Cooker. Press down the Outer Lid until you hear a "click" sound. 5. Connect the Instrument Plug to the main unit first, and then connect the Power Plug. Make sure both plugs are securely connected. 6. Press the "Start" button to begin the cooking process. The "Start" indicator will turn on. 7. Once the cooking is complete, the rice cooker will automatically switch to the keep warm function. 8. To prevent the rice from clumping together, it is recommended to fluff the rice immediately after cooking. Use the provided Rice Scoop instead of a metal spoon to avoid scratching the Inner Pan. 9. After use, press the "Off" button to enter standby mode, and then unplug the Rice Cooker.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can't find the answer to your question in the manual? You may find the answer to your question in the FAQs about the Panasonic SR-CN188 below.

Why is my rice coming out undercooked?

Ensure that you are using the correct rice-to-water ratio. For white rice, use 1.5 cups of water per cup of rice, and for brown rice, use 2 cups of water per cup of rice. Adjust the water level accordingly to achieve the desired texture.

How do I prevent my rice from sticking to the bottom of the pot?

Before cooking, make sure to rinse your rice thoroughly to remove excess starch. Additionally, adding a teaspoon of vegetable oil to the water can help prevent sticking. Once cooked, fluff the rice gently with a fork to separate the grains.
